A Wellness Check is a mandatory individual 30–45-minute session with a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC). Depending on the unit, Soldiers of all ranks might be required to complete a Wellness Check every year. Interviews should be person-centered and individualized.

It is not a script or set of rules; instead, these suggestions are reminders and offer a framework for MFLCs to use when conducting Wellness Checks.
